Recording Cello Entirely with Apogee’s ONE

The Billboard-dubbed “soulful” and “calming” Oak & Gorski (formerly known as The Ken Oak Band) have sold more than 25,000 albums independently through their own label, Cello Rock Records, self-booked five national tours, and have been featured on “CSI: New York” and Dreamworks’ She’s the Man. Cellist Ken Oak and acoustic guitarist Ed Gorski have graced the well-treaded sidewalks of Santa Monica’s Third St. Promenade and have been a long-standing resident guest of Hotel Café in Hollywood, gaining fans with their unique folk-rock sound.

Their above-featured song, “Pretty Far Gone,” was recorded entirely with Apogee’s ONE- including cello, guitar and vocals- captured solely by its internal condenser microphone, premium converters and mic preamp. With soothing cello, solid and rhythmic acoustic guitar and harmonizing vocals, a song about drinking Jagermeister has never been so intoxicating.
