“Forever” is a complete song demonstrating ONE’s amazing potential. Each instrument was recorded using ONE’s internal condenser microphone with the exception of bass and electric guitar, which were recorded direct using ONE’s instrument input. Using careful placement, vocals, acoustic guitar and drums were all recorded in mono. Once tracking was complete “Forever” was edited and mixed in GarageBand. Download the GarageBand session file to see exactly what we did.
Visit the “Hear ONE” page to download the GarageBand session of “Forever” and listen to other recordings made with ONE’s internal microphone.

ONE, a Mac, and GarageBand is everything you need to capture song ideas, or do a full broadcast quality recording.
ONE gives you the option to connect a Guitar or Microphone, but the great thing about ONE is that you already have a microphone built right in.
You are about to see a broadcast quality recording being made, using only the internal microphone and 1/4” input of ONE.
First Sergio and Kevin started by recording some ideas using only ONE placed between the two of them.
Now that they have the idea of the song, it’s time to begin tracking.
They start by using ONE’s internal microphone to record the acoustic guitar.
After the guitars were recorded Kevin came in and recorded all his vocal tracks, using only ONE’s internal microphone. Once again using only the internal microphone built into ONE, the guys decided to have Brian record Drums.
The last thing to be recorded was Bass. This was as simple as plugging the Bass into the 1/4” input of ONE.
Now that the tracks were recorded, it was time to mix. The mix was done entirely in GarageBand, using just ONE and a pair of headphones.
Hear the raw audio file of “Forever” on the Apogee Hear ONE page.

Well it’s an excellent product, I live in Mexico City but Apogee is very expensive here and its only one store in the country. it says $250 USD but here its on $490 USD. I’ve been checking the taxes but even with all the taxes there’s no problem, please check this info.
Thanks

Hello -
The session file requires GarageBand ‘09. Do you have GB ‘09 installed?

Thanks for your post. We were seeing some issues as well. We have replaced the file and tested by downloading and opening the session. All is good now. Please download again when you have time.

Hi,
I have been recommended the ONE, and it doesn’t take much research to show that it is a great piece of equipment. I just cant help but be skeptical that the drums in this video were actually recorded purely by using the ONE, especially by the clarity of the kick drum. No EQ could clean it up that nicely.
I am prepared to be mistaken, because I am familiar with apogee, and their clarity is unbelievable…
Has anyone tried recording drums with it?
