Getting Started with ONE

How to setup ONE with a Mac, including software installation, cable connection, and testing.

Installing ONE is a very simple process, but first you will want to make sure that your  Mac meets the following System requirements.

  • Intel or G5 processor

– 1GB minimum of RAM, 2 GB recommended

  • OS X 10.5.7 or greater

Install Apogee Software

Insert the included CD into your Mac, double-click the “ONE Software Installer”

icon, and follow the on-screen instructions. When the installation is complete you

will be required to restart your Mac.

Connections

After your Mac restarts, connect ONE’s USB cable to a USB port on your Mac using the provided cable.

a dialog box will prompt you to

choose ONE for Mac sound output and input. Click Yes.

You can Connect Headphones ….. or Speakers to ONE’s front panel output jack.

For speaker connection, you will need a Y cable that has an 1/8” stereo jack on one end, and splits out to the type of connection your speakers or stereo system use on the other end.

Playing iTunes

To verify ONE’s output, open iTunes,choose a selection, and click Play.

If another Encoder Function LED is lit, click the encoder until the output LED lights.

Turn the encoder clockwise to raise the output volume. You should now hear the iTunes selection playing through your headphones or speakers.
