“Hey what’s up my name is Hector Delgado and I’m a producer, engineer, and DJ. Basically the last couple of years I’ve been working on a lot of film and television. I did “ Blade,” worked on Jay Z’s American Gangster album, currently I am working with Jason LaRocca and Mark Isham working on “Crash” the TV show for Starz network.”

“The way I use Apogee is it saves the day for me every single day..It lets my studio compete with any studio in the world basically. I came from MOTU stuff, VSL 20-20 cards,I’ve pretty much tried every single audio card on the market and when I was introduced to Apogee stuff I had made a call to them and they brought something by for me and we plugged it in in the middle of a session and it just made a difference from the bat.”

“Then I just got addicted and became a gear-slut with Apogee and just started buying rooms and rooms of DA-16X’s and AD 16’Xs, and Big Ben’s, During that time I was working with Andrew Crouch and got him hooked on the Big Ben also because he loves to record with the VSO so now he won’t ever record in a studio anymore if it doesn’t have a Big Ben, it’s pretty funny. Besides that I’ve just been working hard, the Jay-Z stuff was pretty amazing, when we did the Jay-Z thing here, it was the only mix on the album that was strictly done in the box. It matches up to all the mixes they did on SSL and we did it with Apogee and Nuendo, I mean all in the box and it competes with SSL, without Apogee I wouldn’t have been able to do that.”
